Applied Optimization's toolkit includes state-of-the-art optimization tools that can be configured to build custom applications that serve our clients' needs. Technology Building-Blocks

• Solvers are at the heart of every application and generate optimal solutions for Mixed Integer or Linear Programming problems. We use leading-edge solver modules in our applications.
• Data interfaces are critical in the smooth transfer of data to and from the custom application. We can work with a variety of interfaces, including Excel, Access and other ODBC-linkable Databases.
• Matrix generators help us translate your problem from algebraic form into a matrix that the solver module can understand. It is a key component of the application and sometimes adds powerful features such as graphics and web capability. We use powerful matrix generators that result in speedy, responsive applications.
• The Graphical User Interface or GUI is usually the "face" of the application for the user. This is where the user chooses various options, makes changes to the data or data sources, specifies outputs, and in general controls what the application does. Applied Optimization prides itself on being able to tailor the GUI to make the user at ease with the application. Our goal is to enable the user to carry out all their objectives without ever having to "look under the hood" of the application.
