Applied Optimization is looking for a few good professionals to assist our development team. We are a growing company with roots in both the U.S. and India, and are looking for associates in both countries. We would prefer people who are willing to work in the Bridgewater, NJ area, or in New Delhi, but will consider people who prefer to work remotely from their own regions.

Software Engineers

Should have 2 or more years of experience in building end-user applications and a degree/diploma in computer science (can be waived in lieu of relevant experience). Should be comfortable with using databases- Oracle, SQL etc.. Programming languages needed- C#, C/C++, VB/.Net, Java. Ability to write codes to interface with major ERP applications (SAP, Oracle/Peoplesoft) a plus. Focus will be on building graphical user interfaces for technical applications and packaging the application for end-use.

Operations Research Specialists

2 or more years of experience in using OR techniques to solve problems in industry. Manufacturing or services industry background preferred. Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mathematics with relevant experience. Must be familiar with common Mixed Integer Linear Prorgamming packages like ILOG, DASH Xpress, GAMS, AMPL, AIMMS and the like. Focus will be on developing technical solutions for solving industrial problems using OR techniques. Supply chain experience will be a plus.

Entry-Level Operations Research

Will use OR techniques to solve problems in industry. Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mathematics preferred. No need for prior experience in solvers/packages but willingness & background to learn. Background: BS. MS preferred. Comfortable with math. Familiarity with standard packages like Matlab, etc.
